DARE TO WEAR: THE WEIRDEST HALLOWEEN COSTUMES

Posted on October 31 2016

Happy Halloween dear MFP lovers!

That day of the year, in which children wear scary customs and knock on their neighbors' doors asking for ''Trick or Treat'', has finally arrived. Pumpkins carved into jack-o'lanterns, skeletons, bonfires, scary stories and horror movies are ALL around us and we just can't get enough of these bat-shaped cookies we baked last night.

Anyone still wondering, why we do of all of these? Well, we probably just enjoy it..but there is also a story, full of mystery, explaining the origin of our favorite All Hallow's Eve

Also known as All Hallow's or All Saints' Eve, Halloween has its' origin from the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. Celebrating their new year on 1st of November, the Celts believed that the night before marks the end of the ''light'', the summer and the harvest and the beginning of the ''dark'' and cold winter. It was the night that the boundaries between the worlds of the living and the death become blurred and the ghosts of dead returned to earth.

The trick and treating tradition and the customs in which we all hit the clubs this weekend, were once used as defense mechanism against evil spirits, who on the night of Halloween were walking freely on Earth. Weird or not, the Celts believed that if you meet a demon in a scary custom it would literately save your life, as the demon would think you are one of them and run away.

Today we barely give deep meaning to all the legends and stories surrounding Halloween. However, for all of us, who are too old for trick and treating, but still too YOUNG to stay at home 😉 we simply use it as an excuse to dress up like whoever or whatever we want without being judged for.

Although, we've seen so many Halloween customs or we've been dressed so weird that nothing can surprise us anymore, some celebrities just proved that you can be far more WEIRD than you think you CAN !

We have prepared for you the funniest examples of weird customs that A-listers have worn and trust us they neither look like our beloved characters from Tim Burton's ''Nightmare before Christmas'', nor DEMONS will run way 😂

1) English Breakfast, please!

For all English breakfast lovers, we have something for you!  Apparently some A-listers' love for eggs and bacon is so big that they are not SCARED to scream it loud.

In 2008 Gwen Stefani and her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale paired up in Eggs and Bacon customs on a Halloween party in West Hollywood.

Attention everyone!!! We have the eggs, we have the bacon, but where are the mushrooms and the beans..?

2) Karl, who?

We know that when it comes to mystery no one can compare to Karl Lagerfeld. His iconic black sunglasses and white ponytail are seriously challenging even the ''king'' of Halloween, Jack Skellington.

3) Choupette

If you love Karl Lagerfeld, you would probably also love his cat Choupette. The white kitty, who travels the world in a private jet, has more than 100k followers on Twitter and earns more than £2m per year, seems also to be a great Halloween costume idea. At least on Halloween we can be like her!

4) Flamin' Hot Cheeto

Who doesn't adore Flamin' Hot Cheeto? Its on the top of our list on a Saturday afternoon after a heavy Friday night. But who has ever though that we can also wear it for Halloween.. Well, it looks like we can learn a lot from Katy Perry!

5) The Princess and the ''giant''

We all remember Kim Kardashian's marriage to Kris Humphries, which unfortunately lasted for only 72 days. Apart from their shockingly short marriage, the princess of ''SCANDAL'' and the professional basketball player were also shocking with their height difference. We know that the Kardashian sisters have a thing for basketball players, but Kim's 5 ft 2½ (1.59m) compared to Kris's 6 ft 9 in (2.06 m) were nothing more than a funny costume idea for couples.

Although Kelly Ripa and Nick Lachey ''HIT IT FIRST'' you and your date will become ''FAMOUS'' in Kim & Kris wedding customs.

6) Praise the Lord !

We don't know whether the Pope is that scary, but Jared Leto definitely knows how to protect himself from demons 😄

We might be little dissapointed that we are not seeing him in his ICONIC DAMN awesome Joker suit, but even dressed as the Pope he still look too HOT to handle....

Now get yourself ready for next Halloween!
