Hey MFP lovers!
We are so excited to release our new FW17 'The Eternity' collection. This collection is all about GOLD, it’s a shade darker than what we’ve done in previous years. The colour was inspired by antique crafts from the imperial age.
We have transformed ourselves with a new website and new look. The same goes for this collection. The Eternity collection inspires new hope and a re-invention of ourselves through the symbols in this collection. This collection is all about empowerment and infinite renovation through change. Speaking of renovation, these designs were based on real ancient artefacts. If only we could go back in time and have Cleopatra wear these designs. She would be absolutely in love! She was known for her beauty, strength and wit. No wonder she believed she was the reincarnation of the Goddess Isis, who is the Goddess of protection.
Symbols such as the scarab were worn for luck and to encourage good fortune for the wearer. The scarab symbol comes from ancient Egyptian history. The Egyptians believed that Khepri, who is symbolised by the scarab beetle or a man with a scarab beetle for a face, renewed the sun every day before rolling it above the horizon, then carried it through the other world after sunset, only to renew it, again, the next day. This is materialised in our spinning 23K gold plated brass and enamelled scarab charms that are featured throughout the Eternity collection.
