Hey MFP Lovers!
The MFP brand is backed by a great dedicated Team who supports the brand's reputation for reliability and uncompromising quality, and continuously improve our products and services. The Team share their passion, sense of innovation, and energy.
A Team means sharing the breakfast cookies, having long and exhausting meetings and shameful gossips after work; but it also means cooperation, respect and a solid base to build something great. We take an issue, a problem or a dream, and we analyze it all its aspects, from the inside-out. This is our way to operate and we are proud of it.
We have often showed you the 'faces' behind MFP, but we have never officially introduced them with all their habits, qualities and defects. We want to open the door into MFP Team world, with the certainty you will grow fond of each one, and maybe identify yourself in a lovely Digital Girl or in a meticulous Inventive Boy.
Every month we will interview for you a member of the MFP Team and ask them very personal questions.. ;)
Today we introduce you to Rebecca, our Marketing and Communications intern. Rebecca joined the MFP Team for the whole summer to assist us on all-things-digital. If you have wondered who has been hiding behind our blog, drafting cool social media ideas or lovingly packing and shipping all your recent purchases on the MFP Shop, that's her! With her flowing blonde (very blonde) hair, sweet attitude, delicious homemade lunches and contemporary sense of style, she has definitely brought some fresh breeze to the MFP Office. She is leaving us soon to return to Barletta, in southern Italy, and properly to Foggia (the same city where our very own Maria is from, if you were wondering!) to enrol in her third and last year of a BA in Business Administration & Management.
Rebecca is also obsessed with avocado and makes very arty (and tasty) cupcakes. Oh, she takes very good pictures too - remember our London Fashion Week street style coverage? How does she manage! This girl is bursting with ideas and enthusiasm, so we asked her a few questions to get to know her better.
What is your field and expertise here at MFP? I'm the digital intern, managing social networks and digital content like the MFP Blog. I also look after the e-commerce and customer service.
What is your favourite colour and how does it affect your workflow? Orange, not the bright shading, the one of sunset. I feel more productive and active when it's a sunny day. I'm a bit meteoropathic, you know when the sun shines I'm alright, not often in England..
What does a typical working day look like? It starts and ends with sending and replying to emails. In the middle there are blog inspirations, research, digital schedules, e-commerce orders, meetings and chats. Always a bitter coffee. Sometimes a secret MFP Mission.
A MFP Jewel that represents you is: …and why? I'm obsessed with gold, so something from the MFP "The Bling Ring" collection can suit me very well.
Can you describe MFP vision in 3 words? Dynamic but iconic.
What motivates you best? Ambition.
What is the most exciting thing about your job? Contacts, being so close to big fashion names, top brands, magazines, designers, influencers. Fashion industry is all about building relations. When you are packing a MFP gift and sending to Vogue America itself, you can't be more excited, even if you are on the other side of the ocean!
Define ‘Jewellery’. The embellishments that define your character... or is your character that defines which embellishments to wear?!
One strange habit you have at work. Maybe eating an apple a day about at the same hour. They say it keeps the doctor away...
London life in 3 words. Pure creative oxygen.
The expression you use more frequently at work. Gaia, we have a problem! (Gaia is my mentor at MFP)
Ask yourself a question and answer it. "Should I stay or should I go?" London, wait for me again!
How do you handle stress? Perfectionism is a major source of stress, sometimes I just want to control the uncontrollable. I learnt how to compromise. That's all. Then I make a cake, something where at least I can control the ingredients!
How would you describe your personal style? In progress. I love not-ordinary pieces, but I'm still trying to learn how to mix them with my minimalism attitude.
What was the last picture you took with your phone? The photo of a painting took in the Japan sector of the British Museum. Abstract vision, with fuchsia and red shadows on a black background. It looks like a huge jellyfish! This kind of unintelligible art always fascinated me.
What type of music do you listen to at work? The "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen will always remember me about this work experience. It's on the everyday playlist!
Glass half full or half empty? Or is the glass just malformed? The glass is always full because when there's no water, there's properly air inside.
Who inspires you? Each human being all over the world who is fighting global warming: "Climate change is real. It's happening right now".
What’s something you never leave home without? Some candies. I share those fruity with my friends, the mint one are for me. I'm a sugar dispenser, you know who you come to when you need it!
What superpower would you most like to have? I would like to stop the flow of time, to have much time and to give much more time.
What do you miss about your Italian life? And what do you love about your London life? I miss the Italian exuberance and the typical slowly way we live life (a bit of "La Dolce Vita"?). Obviously I also miss my friends and my family. While I love that in London I can discover amazing and new places just hanging around without destination. Most I loose myself in one of the big parks, never on the city streets. It's a vibrant metropolis, learn how the tube works and there will be no more secrets.
Today for lunch I had… Avocado has become my food addiction and now I eat it at every time of the day in every kind of possible way. Today was with tomato, tuna, cucumbers and pesto.
List five things that are on your desk right now. A glass of water, my agenda and my iPhone. No, they aren't five. Yes, I love the orderliness.
Favourite lyric from a song or a movie. "Just keep swimming!", Dory from "Finding Nemo".
