MFP: Loves strong women

Posted on March 08 2017

Hey MFP lovers,
Happy international women‚Äôs day ūüíĚūüéÄūüí謆
Here at MFP, we are so glad to celebrate such an important day with you and we want to do it by paying homage to some inspirational and fearless female leaders.
For over 100 years International Women’s day has been celebrated, praising female social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women worldwide, highlighting the struggle for gender equality.
During this international Women’s Day, we want to celebrate by honouring five influencers that we adore and admire because of their efforts to assert women’s rights, their values, strength, femininity and charm.
We hope you will love them as much as we do.

Let‚Äôs introduce you to our ‚Äėfavourites‚Äô, women that not only made the difference in the world but are influencers in the fashion of world:

LEANDRA MEDINE (MANREPELLER)
She is an American author and fashion blogger, best known for Man Repeller.
"Good fashion is about pleasing women, not men, so as it happens, the trends that we love, men hate. And this is fantastic." Leandra explained to Daily Mail.
She is an MFP friend with a genuine interest in our jewellery. She is a great woman and a strong feminist. We admire her work, her style and her ideas but above all, we share the same values. Today she wants to celebrate the female beauty, encouraging women to embrace their shapes, their size and their body.

SOPHIE TURNER
A 21-year-old British actress, famous for her role as Sansa on the television series, Game of Thrones. We love her fiery personality, both in fashion and character. We not only admire her class, charm and personality but also the causes she supports. Sophie has been fighting against sexual/gender violence and she is the new patron of the charity Women for Women International, she has travelled to Rwanda to meet female survivors of the 1994 genocide, in which tens of thousands of women were raped and 800,000 people killed.
‚ÄúThe women I met in Rwanda have inspired me in so many ways. They‚Äôve shown me that no matter how bad a person‚Äôs situation can be, whether financially, emotionally, sometimes even physically, it is possible to heal.‚ÄĚ

LADY GAGA
One of the most famous singers and actress is known all over the world. She doesn't need an introduction. Here at MFP, we believe her to be one of the coolest and influential celebrities in the world. With her strong personality and alternative style, she made the difference in both popular culture and activism. In 2015, she was named Billboard's Woman of the year. Not only an artist but a fashion icon, we are so glad to have her as an MFP ambassador. Gaga has identified fashion as a major influence: her musical endeavours are directly linked with fashion.
"When I'm writing music, I'm thinking about the clothes I want to wear on stage. It's all about everything altogether‚ÄĒperformance art, pop performance art, fashion."
We also admire her for her philanthropic work and social activism, including her own non-profit organisation, 'Born This Way Foundation', which focuses on promoting youth empowerment and combating bullying.
A powerful woman from which everybody should take inspiration. Don't you think so?

EMMA WATSON
About Emma, we could write a book. We consider the Harry Potter actress one of the most wonderful, intelligent and eloquent women. Known as a powerful actress, model and activist, she has real and natural interest for sustainable fashion.
"Fashion is a great way to empower people and give them skills; rather than give cash to charity you can help people by buying the clothes they make and supporting things they take pride in."
We strongly support her fight for Women's rights, we believe that being a woman is a responsibility. Her solidarity in the HeForShe campaign, with the goal to engage men and boys as agents of change by encouraging them to take action against negative inequalities faced by us girls, has had an extraordinary impact on the world and her voice is extremely important in making people realise how important this is.
How can we not obsess over her?
She is a source of hope and inspiration both for men and women.

So let's celebrate because being a WOMAN is a SUPER POWER!
